Bottled Ciders

All our ciders are naturally fermented at Cider Towers in Truro by our old-hands at apple transformation, Mikey and Dave. Champagne yeast is added to fresh cold-pressed apples and the magical mix is then left to ferment for two to three months. When it’s ripe for the bottling, we add a little bit of sparkle. For best results serve cool, drink carefully and hold up to the light between sips.

Lyonesse

Lyonesse is a light drinking, slightly dry cider made with Yarlington Mill and Dabinett cider apples to produce a stunning refreshing drink, full of fruit flavour. Great with a ripe Cornish Brie, ‘ansum with Pizza, and perfect with fish fresh off the boat.

To stand on the tip of Land’s End and look out towards the Isles of Scilly is to view the remains of a once-thriving kingdom. It’s name was Lyonesse, the drowned land lost beneath the restless tides beyond Cornwall’s windswept cliffs. It is said you can still hear the bells of the submerged city ringing during rough seas.

Apple Slayer

Apple Slayer is a light, easy drinking cider, made with a delicate blend of bittersweet Dabinette cider apples and sweet, hand-picked dessert Galas. It’s made for a good meaty meal, but more than holds its own just as a refreshing drink.

Our two dedicated cider makers, Mikey and Dave, produce our memorable fruity creations. We call them our ‘Apple Slayers. You have to feel sorry for them, spending week after week blending and tasting in all weathers, looking for perfection and producing some of the best craft cider this side of the Tamar.

Still Ciders

Some like it still and plenty of it…Our boxed ciders are made from exactly the same lovely stuff as our bottled ciders – 100% pressed West Country autumn crop apples. The only difference is you drink it the way nature intended – no bubbles. Available in good pubs and off-licences. Perfect for landlords, landladies and parties. Or all three together.

Loving the Cornish Craft Cider Revival

At the Cornwall Cider Company we believe if you love what you do, you do it well. Since 1997, Steve Skinner has poured his passion into crafting multiple award-winning Cornish ales, including Betty Stogs and Cornish Knocker. In 2013, he teamed up with Mike Pritchard and Alun Morgan, (both keen investors in Cornwall businesses), to take on a new challenge – bring the same pedigree approach to Cornwall’s traditional craft cider renaissance.

We want to make cider that sings and pulls on your heart strings. We use only the finest ingredients. Sourcing the West Country’s best apple varieties is always our first priority. Which means, be prepared for occasional shortages – it’s what makes our ciders so good. And it’s why we release them in small batches – so catch ‘em quick but savour ‘em slow.

Based in Cider Towers, by the river in the heart of Truro, we are dedicated to the traditional methods of Cornish craft cider making, always fermenting with 100% pressed West Country apples, always taking our time and releasing only when the flavour’s ‘just right’. Our cider is sold exclusively by Skinners Brewery. Next time you’re by – pop in for a taste of our latest creations.
